Lower Antelope Canyon
Over the years, Lower Antelope Canyon has become a favorite gathering place for photographers, tourists, and visitors from around the world. The views in Lower Antelope Canyon change constantly as the sun moves across the sky, filtering lights softly across the stone walls. These ever-moving sun angles bounce light back and forth across the narrow canyon’s walls, creating a dazzling display of color, light, and shadow. The Navajo name for Lower Antelope Canyon is Hasdeztwazi or “Spiral Rock Arches.” Many years ago, herds of Pronghorn Antelope roamed freely in and around the canyon, which explains the English name. This incredible canyon has been created over millions of years by the relentless forces of water and wind, slowly carving and sculpting the sandstone into forms, textures, and shapes which we observe today.

Our tour guide was incredible, telling us about the canyon as well as about the Dene people. The views were even better than anticipated!

My experience with Lower Antelope canyons itself is amazing!! The canyons are gorgeous!! It’s a def must see.. my concerns come with KENS TOURS company. So to start things off we were a group of friends looking forward to seeing the lower Antelope canyon. We booked a tour for 4 pm. Firstly there is a time difference when you arrive from grand canyon to page. We weren’t aware of this time change. We arrived hour earlier than we needed to. We were all confused when we saw that their time was hour behind . Wen my friend went to inquire to know for sure she was met with a rude attitude as if she is dumb and doesn’t know anything. If you’re a tourist not familiar with the area and changing timings it’s a common mistake. Nevertheless we let it go. Now when the time came for tour - one of my friend was having leg cramps from a day before so she wanted to ask if she will be okay and can walk slow. The tour guide said we have to keeep a certain pace to which we were all encouraging her that yes it’s okay one of us will be with her and she’ll do fine. The problem really occurs when it’s time for the tour now - xavier the tour guide includes two random people who had already missed their tour time and he gives the benefit of doubt and says it’s ok I will squeeze you into my tour. We’ don’t mind and its okay we don’t care. But then Xavier takes these two people and starts walking fast with them and leaves us behind to run and catch up to him. Now we start Running after Xavier and at this point my friend who had a concern with walking too fast decides he is already too rude and she wants to sit out because she doesn’t want him to keep pressuring her into walking fast. This tour costs $96 per person. I believe as a tour guide you should atleast try to accommodate people with health issues or keep their needs in mind. At this point we are all very pissed off because Xavier keeps talking to the couple that he added as a courtesy and keeps ignoring our group of 6 people. He refused to make eye contact with any of us and continues to talk to the couple. As we go inside the canyon Xavier decides he is over his tantrum and starts telling us things too. So we as a group decide that it’s okay just let it go and we laugh and have a good time with Xavier. Now in between we stop to take pictures but Xavier keeps rushing us. At one point he tells us he is not going to take any more pictures for us but we are free to do so. We say ok no problem but when we stop for pictures he rushes us Long story short- We were met with very rude attitude from the company overall. I really felt like if we had paid over $600 to do this tour they should have def tried to make it a fun experience and I honestly feel they should have tried to accommodate our friend as she has lost her $96 because Xavier was too rude . If you want to have a memorable and nice experience don’t go with KEN TOURS. they have a nasty attitude problem

Sorry about your experience. We have filed an investigation with your mentioned guide and company the moment we received your feedback. So far we have not got a response from Kens Tour yet. However, here as the supplier, we will refund you 1 adult ticket from our end first. Thanks for your understanding and we will continously push our coperated company to improve their guide service to make sure the prefessionalism is always at a high level.
