Loved the whole feel of this tour. The old versus the new cuisine - the authentic stores and the quality of the food was excellent. Matt was extremely easy going very knowledgeable and I definitely would recommend taking this tour if you have never visited the Lower East side - even if you live here in NYC :))

It was a cold and windy day, but we had a large, fun group and Matt (our tour guide) was engaging and informative. We not only enjoyed the food stops, but also the history lessons. I love what this company does. We did the Mad Men Cocktail Tour last year with Josh (the owner) and it was marvelous. Looking forward to our next visit to NYC and our next Sidewalk Food Tour! Thanks, Matt and Josh!

I went on the Lower East Side Food Tour with Matt as our guide. I brought 2 of my kids, ages 19 and 22. We all had a great time! Matt was a very friendly and engaging guide. We stopped at 8 different places throughout the 2.5 hour tour -definitely enough food to count as lunch and we learned some interesting history about the Lower East Side as we walked from place to place. A few of the places we actually sat inside, such as Katz' Deli, Yonah Schimmel Knishes, and the Donut Plant. At others we enjoyed our samples right outside the shop, such as The Pickle Guys, Russ and Daughters, Quality Candy, North Dumplings and Kossars Bialys. We enjoyed pastrami on rye, pickles, halvah, dumplings, bialys, pickles, and donuts of various flavors. Everything was delicious and we had some time to purchase things if we wanted to bring anything home with us. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys trying interesting places to eat and wants to learn some history of the area. Ask for Matt!
