Lower Loop Van Tour from West Yellowstone: Grand Prismatic and Old Faithful

Overview

This Active Van Tour is a great way to see Yellowstone National Park beginning in the fun gateway town of West Yellowstone. The early morning part of the tour explores wildlife haunts in the famous Shadow Canyon of the Madison River. This area is home to bear and elk. Later we hike to an overlook of the famous Grand Prismatic Hot Springs. If you don't feel like walking we find a safe, scenic spot for you to wait for the group near the van. Next we explore the Old Faithful area, including some time at the famous Old Faithful Inn. We continue over the continental divide at Isa Lake and down to the West Thumb Geyser Basin on Yellowstone Lake for a view of some spectacular lakeside thermal pools. Continuing our drive along Yellowstone Lake we arrive in the Hayden Valley where big herds of bison roam. Finally, we arrive at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone to view the canyon and the amazing falls (one is almost 200 feet tall!). The day concludes back at West Yellowstone.

Aaron our tour master was knowledgeable, personable and knew where to be when. Bison sightings all over the park, near and far. Beautiful landscape, waterfalls, hot springs and Old Faithful doing her thing. What a beautiful National Park not to miss.

We were at the end of the season but still had a wonderful day and a great tour with Aaron to check out the entire lower loop of Yellowstone. Aaron was very knowledgeable and spent the entire day making sure we saw and did everything possible to make it a great day. We saw all the major sites along the loop and had a nice lunch with a picnic and a great view of Yellowstone Lake. He even had great recommendations for restaurants in West Yellowstone for us. Money well spent!!

Our guide Aaron was very knowledgeable and customer focused. He shared detailed information about everything we were viewing. He made sure we saw all of the special sites in Yellowstone that make it a wonder of nature. He spent extra time with our group and we were able to spend time where and when it mattered to view wildlife, mud pots, hot springs and geysers. I would book a tour with Aaron anytime!
