The show was very good. The costumes, the dancers the story were good. I was very disappointed in the plantation owners dinner though. Gaylords was beautiful and the food was ok, not great, but our server Dava was awful. It was clear that she didnt want to waste time with us since we were part of the Luau package. We watched her chat and spend time with the general guests, but the Luau guests were ignored. We never got the chance to order wine, the food choices for the dinner were very limited and we waited over 30 minutes after we finished our meal and coffee to be served dessert. Our dessert arrived just as we were standing up to leave. I had booked the upgrade as a birthday treat for my husband and was very sorry I did. Dont waste your money, just book the regular Luau if you really want to see the show. Better yet, try a different Luau, we will.

We loved the luau. The dancers were well choreographed and a great experience. However, the food was not great at all. We did the plantation dinner and the only good part was my drink and the crab cake. The spare ribs were tough, dry, and fatty. The salad was drowned in dressing to the point it was not edible. My husband's fish was overcooked. The service was just as bad, if not worse, than the food. Do the buffet as that has to be better if you come to Kalamaku.

We had the premier meal (as opposed to the buffet). The food was good, but not great. The fron row seating was worth the extra expense
