Geoff the captain has a great knowledge of the sea and surrounds. He gave clear instructions before we set off and stopped periodically to talk about various parts of the coast line. The highlight was seeing a whale mum and pup being protected by a male and some dolphins. We also saw a sea turtle. The crew were helpful and the food good ...mai tails included. There were some significant swells on occasions which for people who suffer from sea sickness could dampen the enjoyment but the captain had warned us and offered ideas to help. The coast line is definitely worth the effort...quiet stunning! unlike the sunset.

We went in mid-April 2019 when it was very windy. The captain Greg and crew were fantastic. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to serve. Greg had great insight and historical knowledge of the coast, and we learned a lot of fun things from him. Appetizers were pretzels, crackers, salami, and cheese. Mai Tais were good, not very strong. They serve other beers and white wine options. You don't go for the food. The chicken teriyaki was great, the veggie stir fry was bland and cold. And really, you don't want to eat much, because our ride on the catamaran was crazy pitchy with the wind. TAKE ALL THE SEA SICKNESS MEDS!!! My husband and I both took the max and were ok, but there were several people puking their guts out because of the chop. Because of this, we had to turn around early and did not get to see far up the coast. We were all happy to turn around though, as it was smoother on the way back. The highlights of the ride were seeing a pod of dolphins and a humpback whale with her calf. Overall, this ride was still worth the money even without eating much food and not getting to see the whole coast. The sunset was still beautiful, and it was awesome to see the island from the ocean view.

April 2, 2019. We were a family of six persons - two were kids 10 and 12. Captain Kauai (real name but abbreviated) set the tone from introduction to the sunset finale. He is a Master at operating his catamaran (the Lucky Lady), very professional but fun and funny. He is a wealth of knowledge about the history of the Hawaiian people (he is Hawaiian and speaks the language), the geography of the islands and the history of Hawaii for the last 2000 years. He played great music during the cruise and he works very hard to ensure that his passengers are comfortable and safe. The ship's crew is also caring, attentive and fun. Don't worry about foot wear because shoes are left ashore but do take a rain proof jacket with hood. We were lucky to see whales, spinner dolphins and turtles. Most exciting was a very close-up view of the caves on the Na Pali coast due to Captain Kauai's expert navigation. We highly recommend this particular charter.
