Mackinaw City Parasailing

Overview

Parasailing is a water sport in which a person is towed behind a boat while attached to a parachute-like canopy. The parasail is suspended from a harness that is attached to the boat, and as the boat moves, the parasailer is lifted into the air and glides through the sky.

Parasailing in the Straits Area, you can see views of the famous Mackinac Bridge, see Mackinac Island from a distance and a birds eye view of the beautiful Lake Huron.

To participate in parasailing, you do not need any special skills or training. The activity is typically supervised by trained staff who will provide you with all the necessary equipment and instruction.

Is there weight restrictions? Yes, must be at least 125lbs and combined weight for flying tandem, no more than 450lbs. Wind and water conditions may allow for changes to these per the captain.

What a great experience. The winds were a little crazy the weekend we went and the team at Mackinaw Parasailing canceled and rescheduled our parasailing twice, which only reaffirmed in our eyes that they are 100% fully looking out for our well being. Even after waivers being signed they will only put you up if they feel it’s safe enough. We finally got up when the crew felt it was safe enough and it was an amazing experience. 10/10 this place was great!
