Just all the information that we was told about the cruise & the islands. My son had a very good time learning about the bridge and about the shipwrecks

Our feet get soaked with the open portals on the port side of the 50 yr old lobster boat. Also, many times during the sunset cruise, the diesel fuel smell was unbearable. Could not hear the narration and music due to poor sound system. My opinion is go with an established ferry line for any cruise.

Hello and sorry you didn’t enjoy the cruise. We agree that the ferry companies do a wonderful job of cruising under the bridge while on their way to Mackinac Island. I believe we had discussed some of these issues when you had told us you could not recommend our tours while disembarking the boat and again at our ticket office, but happy to discuss them again. The sound system on our boat is optimized to cover the whole boat at a comfortable level for people that are closer to the speakers, and the others that may be seated a little further away. It can be a bit tricky due to us not having a boat that is completely enclosed, and the outside noise that is also present during our cruises. For some of our guests that are harder of hearing we will turn up the volume or have them sit closer to the speakers, but if we are not told about the issue on the cruise it is hard for us to fix it. Next about the water coming through the scuppers. On days that the lake is a bit rough, but still safe for us to go out, we do notify customers on the dock and during the cruise that water may splash in, but if you did not catch the announcement on the dock or the boat, I do apologize. As for the diesel smell, this has never been a complaint from any of our guests in the 12 years we have been open, but maybe we just have not had anyone that was sensitive to that smell. When turning the boat, to give all of our guests a view of the bridge, you may have caught the smell of diesel exhaust, and unfortunately due to us having a dry exhaust stack on top of the boat, this does happen when the wind is blowing in a certain direction. We hope you enjoyed the remainder of your time in Mackinaw City
