Everyone who wants to have a great experience with the Mackinaw Bridge and see a beautiful sunset must go on the cruise on the Ugly Anne. I had a great time and actually went two nights in a row. I will be back a third time. I haven't found anyone else offering this. Definitely a must if you are in Mackinaw City. It's AWESOME!!

To celebrate our second wedding anniversary my husband and I decided to go on a romantic getaway to Mackinaw City. Been there a billion times before so it was exciting to find the something new to do. I had heard about it on Facebook and decided to do the sunset cruse on a Saturday night. .I called ( 231-436-5094) and booked our tickets a few days in advance (which turned out great because it was sold out that night.!) They take cash or credit. Make sure to bring money for refreshments on the boat. (Water, Pop, Beer, wine) Capt Chris and his first mate welcome you aboard to comfy seats. Another great thing is that the boat wasn't over crowed! We cruised for about an hour with great weather and music! The view was spectacular! Can't wait to do it again with our little one!

If you are visiting Mackinaw City , experience this towns newest adventure, "Ugly Anne"! Located on Huron Ave. next to the downtown park, on the water next to the Parasailing location is "Boat Tours Aboard Ugly Anne". Choices for daytime or sunset cruises are available. Learn about the history of the Straits with narrative and video presentation featuring the shipwrecks and local lore while traveling UNDER the "Big Mac". I opted for the sunset cruise, for one hour departing 45 minutes before sunset, and was treated to not only an opportunity to go under the bridge, but to the beautiful night sky! The boat is smaller than the ferries and the owner is a native of the area with wonderful stories and information to share. Bring a light jacket even in summer, sit back and enjoy the views and don't forget your camera. One adult ticket was $18.00 and the highlight of my visit. The sunset was incredible. We saw both Coast Guard Cutters in the harbor with photo opts up close. Quite a magical experience. The tours run June 1 to October 1 and private charters are available. Pick up brochures in town or go to www.mackinawtour.com. This tour is new, I actually found it by accident, and can't wait until next year to take of the day cruises. I added photos too!
