We were lucky enough to be able to score a kayaking spot the afternoon before departing Bozeman. Eric and Preston were the highlight of this tour. Yes, the kayaking was absolutely perfect, weather was stunning and the air invigorating, but these guys...they made it that much better. If you get a chance, book this trip because the ride down the Madison River is simply stunning. Thanks Eric and Preston!

We had an open morning in Bozeman for a kayak adventure. We took an uber from our hotel to the listed address rendezvous parking spot. We arrived early there was no one there and no sign so we went to the Beak St address and found the van and kayaks. We did not realize that the main st address was a parking lot for kayakers. No harm —ends up we were the only 2 people on this tour. Preston was our driver and Eric was our on water guide and historian. This was a fabulous drift downstream on the Madison River with Sam little shirt spur up Cherry Creek. Eric did an excellent job pointing out historical landmarks , discussing the early settlers and river geography along both the 20 mile ride out to the launching site and the 6 mile kayak tour. The river was fairly shallow and gently flowing. Eric was quick to point out the best routes to stay with the river current. At the end of the tour they even dropped us back at our hotel! We highly recommend this tour.

After 2 days of some pretty serious hiking our Louisiana legs were in need of a day off but we still wanted to be outside enjoying all that Montana has to offer. A quick search of Trip Advisor found Bozeman Kayak Co. Eric and Preston were great. They met us as promised and off we went. Eric was our history professor and kayak tour guide for the day while Preston was our spotter, van driver and kayak removal expert. Both are very personable and welcoming from the instant you meet them. The tour down the river was great. Eric does a great job of leading you in the correct river channels, spotting wildlife, explaining differences in rock formations and noting areas of historic significance. He takes his time for a few side trips as well. We even spent a few minutes catching crawfish. Very enjoyable for an old Louisiana boy. We can’t recommend this tour enough. Go to see all the the Bozeman/Gallatin Gateway area of Montana has to offer. It’s simply spectacular. Hike all the gorgeous trailheads but when you need a break, look up Bozeman Kayak Co. for a relaxing and fun trip down the Madison River. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you Eric and Preston. We’ll definitely be back. Greg & Laura Pearce. Walker, La.
