What To Expect

Madison River

Enjoy a relaxing 1.5 hour Kayak paddle/float down the Madison River. A class one river, no experience necessary. Keep your eyes peeled as abundant wildlife is seen along the journey. The Madison River is one of three rivers to make up the headwaters of the Missouri River.

I went on a half-day kayak trip down the Madison River with Eric and Preston(owners of Bozeman Kayak Company) and had a great time. The trip was well-planned, organized and was a perfect way to spend a warm spring afternoon on the river. We saw eagles, ospreys and explored beaver ponds and side channels. Our kayaks were open cockpit boats, very stable and required no previous paddling experience. For anyone who has never kayaked before, this is a perfect way to try out a new sport and explore the the beauty of Montana. Eric and Preston were great to hang out with and I'd readily take another trip with them.
