What To Expect

Madison River

Enjoy a relaxing 1.5 hour Kayak paddle/float down the Madison River. A class one river, no experience necessary. Keep your eyes peeled as abundant wildlife is seen along the journey. The Madison River is one of three rivers to make up the headwaters of the Missouri River.

They were very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and historic points. The tour was a great way to enjoy the outdoors while not having to worry about a thing. They take you from Bozeman out to the drop off location, provide everything you need, and then take you back after the tour is over. It is a fun time that anyone can have even if they have little experience on the river. I would recommend the tour to anyone looking for something to do around bozeman even if they only have a half day to do it.

My boyfriend and I went on a kayaking tour down the Madison river with Bozeman kayak and had an amazing time! The guides were fun and very knowledgeable, both about the incredible wildlife and history of the area. The ride took about 1.5 hours (which they said might be a bit longer in the warmer summer months) and was perfect for any level kayaker. The water is shallow but moves along at a nice speed. The kayaks were super steady and you don’t get wet much (unless you want to). This is such a unique way to experience Montana at its finest and I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone!!

What an amazing tour of the Madison! I saw a beaver swim out of his/her den right under my kayak, while surrounded by eight, count 'em, Eight Red wing-black birds! Well worth every penny, and I learned so much along the way. Highly recommended, can't wait to hit the Yellowstone!
