I've actually gone here twice as there is so much to see. You can walk around the entire plantation at you own pace or you can take their tours. The petting zoo is awesome. They have such pretty peacocks! We got some Magnolia Christmas Ornaments that I still enjoy to this day.

This was the first plantation I ever visited and it is truly a beautiful place to visit. They have a tram ride that takes you all over the plantation grounds and theres a cafe called Peacock Cafe that has actual peacocks roaming around. The house tour was very informative and provided a view into the life during the pre Civil War era. Last but not the least - our guide an ex Navy veteran was wonderful

This was something that I went specifically to Charleston to do. I wanted to do the tour the last time that I was in Charleston 2 years ago and have regretted not doing it then. However, when afforded the opportunity to do the tour, did so and the tour was great! The history behind the plantation was a real eye opener. Enjoyed all the grounds and the wildlife that was present there. I believe that without the history though, it would just be a tour of the grounds which basically looks like a big garden. Although the ground were beautiful, it is hard to envision the rice fields as there is only one clearing that kind of shows where the rice field was located. I personally did the house tour, the gardens tour and the tram ride. I booked this all online so the experience was good as I didn’t know what to expect. It was also nice to be able to purchase food and drinks on the property.
