I went to the Magnolia Plantation with my husband on our honeymoon and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to come back with my Mom and Aunt. We booked the 5 hour tour with full transportation this time and we did not regret it. The bus ride to and from was quick. Our guide, Derrek, was extremely knowledgeable and organized. He gave us a great tour of the gardens (45 minutes). Our guide for the tram ride, Tad, did a great job giving us a tour of the property and natural wildlife, which lasted about an hour. He stopped it so we could get pictures of alligators and banana spiders. The house tour (which I didn't see the first time) was very interesting and informative. We learned a lot about the Grenke family. We had about 30 minutes on our own to explore so I took a look at the petting zoo, which was fun. It has deer, chickens, snakes and other rescued animals. I highly recommend this tour!

Great guide! Loved the tram tour of the swamp and the walk around the gardens was wonderful. I never would have appreciated the gardens without the guide. The tour of the house was interesting but i would have preferred a longer tram ride. The transportation to and from the plantation made everything very smooth and relaxing!!
