Good tour...includes transportation and garden tour by the bus driver/guide. Very knowledgeable. Also includes tram ride through the swamp part of the property (we did see 1 gator even tho it was cold) and also included the house tour and small zoo enclosure. I was happy I went. Would love to fo back again when it's nice.

We had a very enjoyable tour of Magnolia Plantation and Gardens with our tour guide Shawn. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Everything from start to finish was well organized - we toured the gardens, the grounds, and the home. Highly recommend!

Our second visit to Charleston, but our first plantation tour. Our driver, Shawn, did an excellent job of blending contemporary Charleston and its historic past as he safely drove us from the Visitors Center to Magnolia plantation and gardens. After a short drive, about 25 minutes, he led us on a brief walking tour of the grounds, allowed us time for a quick bite at the cafe (outdoor seating), and then turned us over to Tad who guided us through the plantation rice lands. He pointed out the native plants and animals, including several alligators! We next had an outstanding tour of the plantation mansion with Lauren. She was very knowledgeable and patiently answered all questions about the house and family. Our day ended as Shawn played selections from Porgy and Bess on our comfortable ride back to the Visitors Center. I highly recommend this tour. It was very manageable for older visitors, very informative, and a very good value. Give Shawn and the Magnolia staff gold stars!
