We were late leaving due to some stragglers, which put us behind schedule. Our driver talked too much and tried to tell too much about himself, we are not interested in his family history. He dropped us off at the cafe and disappeared to drop off the bus. It had been drizzling most of the morning, another 20 minutes wasted there. He had to ran thru the “river walk” because of time constraints. He was coughing the whole time, he should have stayed home and nurse himself back to health. The Tram Ride wasn’t that exciting, he did the best he could. Rick our guide did a nice job at the house tour. It wasn’t worth the money spent, the weather didn’t help and the time of year. Oh well.

My Mum and I did this tour whilst on holiday in Charleston. Bus was comfortable, guide (Shawn) was clear, personable and organised, journey time to plantation was good (40 minutes ish). I liked the varied activities that came included in the tour that gave your a good overview of the gardens, wildlife and house itself, plus some free time. After a very sociable pick-up time of 10:30 we were then back in Charleston promptly for 3, it was nice to have a tour which didn't dominate an entire day but was long enough to feel full. My only criticism would be the lack of refreshment stop until 12:45 (although there was a bathroom stop upon arrival), an opportunity to get a coffee prior to this would've been really appreciated. I understand there's a schedule to keep to and overall all ran very smoothly. Would recommend.
