Makapu’u Lighthouse Trail and Shuttle Service

Overview

Shuttle service is roundtrip pick up and drop off from your hotel. At the end of the Makapu‘u trail, you're rewarded with magnificent views of the windward coast and offshore islets, as well as the historic red-roofed Makapu‘u Lighthouse built in 1909 - which makes a stunning picture against the deep blue sea below. After the hike, the driver will also take you to the Halona Blowhole for a 15 min stop in case you and your family want to take some nice pictures!

Shuttle was good, driver nice. The trail was all paved but decently challenging. I would definitely recommend doing it early in the day. Views were spectacular!

It was a great hike with amazing views. It is not very shaded so a brim hat and sunscreen is advisable. Carry water and remember there are no facilities along the way or at the top so plan your liquid intake accordingly. There is parking and if you get there earlier in the day , you should not have any issues. Some bravehearts break off and head down to see the water spouts but it is not advised - I did not have it in me to do it ;)

Used the go city pass which is unlimited. Had an emergency come up and notified driver, yet they charged my credit card the full price even though I was using a gocity pass. Will never do business with this company again. Avoid and go with someone else.

Aloha, we suggest reading company guidelines and rules before booking. We have a 48 cancellation policy, GoCity can only be used if you appear on the tour, its all stated in your booking reservation.
