This is a great experience even if you have never snorkeled. John adapts to the conditions of the day, avoids the large groups and takes great pictures. Our daughter was literally face to face with a turtle.

Great experience!! We had a lot of fun and our guide, Tristan, was great! Just a tip...schedule this activity early on in your trip, as Maui winds can postpone your adventure. We were scheduled for Tuesday but were not actually able to paddle out until Friday morning. It was worth the wait, but definitely something to keep in mind!

This tour is great! John is so pleasant, patient and is so good at explaining everything you need to know to have a great experience. He is very thorough with explaining how to use the kayak and snorkel equipment. He has an excellent knowledge of the area and the culture. John interacts with everyone in the group and makes you feel like family. I wasn't sure if my 15 year old daughter would have the stamina to keep up with the all adult group, but she did really well. John took our group of 6 out to a reef where we were pretty much by ourselves. He led us around and pointed out the many different wildlife. We saw sea turtles, puffer fish, an eel and a bunch of beautifully colored fish. There was plenty of time to snorkel and the water was really clear. John gave us water and granola bars after we got back on the kayaks. My daughter was pretty tired after paddling out and snorkeling, so I thought the paddle home would be hard. Once again John took his time with us and made sure we didn't feel rushed. I would highly recommend this tour if you are looking for a serine and memorable kayak and snorkel experience. Ohana!!
