We arrived and John was there ready to get our group of nine on the water. Prior to heading out in the kayaks, he spent time teaching us what we would need to know to kayak to our destination and back. He was very personable, experienced, and seemed to really care about our experience. The kayak portion went well and then we began our snorkel adventure. John led the group in the water, pointing out various undersea life and sharing his knowledge of the area. I was pleased he didn't sit in his kayak and simply let us fumble around in the water. As he lead us back, one guest was having a difficult time staying with the group. She was kayaking solo while the rest of us were in pairs. He paddled up to her kayak, put a rope between hers and his, and he helped her back to our destination. He was a great host/guide and he made the experience great. Oh, and yes we did see green sea turtles (Honu).

I cannot rate this tour highly enough, out tour guide John was amazing he was patient with our group, which included 2 that had never kayaked or snorkelled before, and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. John offers a photo package which is well worth it and we received over 800 photos of our day with the turtles.

Our tour with John was wonderful. He is such a humourous, nice guy! He made us all feel very comfortable and we had a blust. He explained all very well: how to get into and out of the kayak, how to kayak and snorkel - and how to really enjoy it and take it all in. He explained what we were seing (turtles, all sorts of fish, corals) and provided some background on Hawaiian culture. It was more important for him that we had a good time rather than counting minutes. Sure enough, all other tours had returned by the time we were back (though John made sure no one was under time pressure). We can only very highly recommend to go onto this type of adenture with John, resp. his company.
