We had a great time on our kayaking trip with John. He was so knowledgeable and passionate about Maui and its history. We were not able to snorkel because the water was too cloudy, but we didn’t mind because we had some amazing whale sightings really close to where we were kayaking. We followed a mama whale and her baby for awhile, and they breeched several times. John taught us a lot about whales and their patterns while we were waiting for them to surface too. We were in a group of 9 people which was a perfect size. The waves were pretty big when we were setting off on the tour but John talked us through it all and we were totally fine. We learned so much on this tour and highly recommend it.

John was a fantastic guide. He made sure everyone had a great experience kayaking and snorkeling. He did an excellent job bringing us to the reef early enough to swim with the turtles before other groups arrived, and made the whole adventure fun. It was the perfect start our Maui vacation.
