Overview

This tour is the perfect way to stay dry and view the wild manatees of the Kings Bay Wildlife Refuge.

Hop aboard our US Coast Guard certified vessel where you will join your Master Captain to embark on a journey into the Kings Bay refuge waters. On this tour, you and the group will join us for one of the most memorable experiences of a lifetime!

During this trip we will search for our world famous wild manatees that give Crystal River the title of "The Manatee Capital of the World." There is also a chance to see many other species of birds, turtles, and even a dolphin every now and then so be on the lookout for the impressive variety of wildlife that calls the refuge "home".

For this Manatee Viewing Cruise, you will be meeting our Captain at Pete's Pier. The meet time is 3:45 pm. There is an additional $5 parking fee per vehicle at Pete's Pier, that you are required to pay upon arrival.

This was a perfect experience for all generations. It was relaxing yet exciting. We saw many manatees! Tom was absolutely wonderful. He was resourceful, relatable, and made the entire boat laugh.

A beautiful afternoon on the water with a great captain/ guide who is native to the area. He was very knowledgeable. Saw lots of manatees and seabirds. Enjoyable and educational.

We were surprised when we arrived at Pete’s Pier and it turned out that the boat was run by Explorida. Ray was our captain, he was excellent at pointing out what we saw, including wildlife and answering questions that were asked by all 8 of us onboard. We were even fortunate enough that one individual onboard volunteered as a historian at the local Indian mound. He asked Ray if he could have the floor and speak to everyone onboard as we passed the mounds on our return. Of course there were no objections and everyone listened with enthusiasm as he spoke. Ray took us as far as the Gulf of Mexico. On the return, he stopped and pointed out the setting sun. It just so happened that the setting sun was framed in a bunch of trees. What a picturesque sunset. The setting sun was just the cap on the end of an amazing Manatee cruise. The trip was absolutely wonderful. We saw so many manatees, even new ones to the area, with barnacles from the Gulf of Mexico still attached to their bodies. Since I booked the trip through TripAdvisor using my husband’s account, he has received the link to review the trip. I plan to give Explorida a 5 star review using this link. I’ll also include a photo or two that Ira took during the trip. If we do return to Crystal Springs we will definitely return to Explorida and steer any friends to a boat skippered by Explorida. Your outfit was top notch. The step stool that Ray produced for me to use while getting on and off the boat, made entering and exiting the boat a piece of cake.
