What To Expect

Key Largo

Mangrove Tunnel Kayak Adventure. Experience the waters off Key Largo as a local during this 3 hour tour in the mangroves off Key Largo. Kayak through crystal clear waters as we learn about the mangroves and their importance to the ecosystem of the Florida Keys. Learn about the birds, fish, turtles, and manatees that frequent these areas. For those that are interested snorkel through some of the tour as you experience the world under the mangroves as well. For those booking a 2 or more guests, we will automatically assign tandem (2 person) kayaks to those travelers. Travelers requesting single kayaks…please call the store at 395.451.3018 after booking to request single kayaks.

Our tour guide was Janet who was super knowledgeable about the delicate ecosystem in the Keys. She pointed out different species of fish, birds, trees, plants and flowers and the 3 different kinds of mangroves! The transportation to and from John Pennekamp state park from FBO was super easy and made it more fun and relaxing. The staff loads and unloads all the equipment while you relax in the air conditioning van. They even included a dry bag for me to use as well as a waterproof map to follow along with Our tour guide Janet. Highly recommended for kids too! Easy access in and out of the sit on top kayaks and the equipment was newer and not beat up. We will definitely be back.

This was an awesome tour to explore the arounds of the Florida Keys, as a local I am very happy to have done it. So far it has been the coolest activity my family and I have experience in The Keys. Everything was fabulous, from the store and the staff, transportation, they even gave us a water bottle and snack to take in our tour. We would love to do the tour again. We always take our family members that come to visit there since they also have paddleboard, kayaks and other rental equipment available to explore the bay side.
