The Isle of Capri Paddlecraft Park requires a $10 Parking Pass per vehicle if you do not have a Collier County Beach Parking Sticker

Children under 12 must ride in a tandem kayak with an adult

What To Expect

Marco Island

We will be paddling into the Mangrove Tunnels of the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve just North of Marco Island launching from the Isle of Capri Paddlecraft Park. The regions only biologist guides will help you find unique wildlife while teaching you about the ecology and history of this amazing place! Get on the water with the guides who have spent their lives studying this area and explore with a real local biologist!

After exploring the mangrove tunnels with the only biologist guides in Naples & Marco, visit our partners at the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center and enjoy FREE ADMISSION with the purchase of your tour ticket to explore their exhibits, aquariums, art gallery, theater, and hiking trails! Be sure to ask about becoming a member of the Friends of Rookery Bay to further support the Reserve, gain access to special programs, events, volunteer opportunities, and discounts on tours, rentals, and at the nature store!

We took the 3-hour morning boat tour through the estuary and the barrier islands with Capt. Ryan, and highly recommend it for more than just visitors to Naples. Experiencing the ecology of the estuary and understanding the importance of the mangrove environment was outstanding. This is a fairly new business venture that deserves its success.

This is a wonderful kayak trip just a half hour outside of downtown Naples. It's run by Rookery Bay, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving this lovely mangrove ecosystem. Our guide was Sam who is a biology professor at the local university, and she was not only incredibly informed, but she had a clear love and enthusiasm for this area. I went with my 12 year old, and she answered all his questions, and helped him find some great souvenirs. We went on a low tide day, so we didn't get a chance to paddle through the most winding route :( but we did visit a mudflat and see some species of snails and slugs that we would never have seen otherwise. We did see dolphins (!) but only at a distance. Highly recommended!
