Marco Island

We will be paddling into the Mangrove Tunnels of the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve just North of Marco Island launching from the Isle of Capri Paddlecraft Park. The regions only biologist guides will help you find unique wildlife while teaching you about the ecology and history of this amazing place! Get on the water with the guides who have spent their lives studying this area and explore with a real local biologist!

Be sure to ask about becoming a member of the Friends of Rookery Bay to further support the Reserve, gain access to special programs, events, volunteer opportunities, and discounts on tours, rentals, and at the nature store!

We loved our tour with Sam. She did a great job educating us about the area. We saw all sorts of marine and birds life. This was a very enjoyable way to spend the morning.

Very good trip. Actually it was excellent. We learned a lot from Matt and Brittany. They are both well educated on the eco system along with the marine and mammal population. I would recommend this trip to anyone. Very safe and easy to do.

My husband and I were looking forward to our tour because we love nature and were excited to explore it from a kayak. But never imagined that we were going to experience such an overwhelmingly magical moment in nature . The mangroves, the water, the islands, the birds, the nature converged to create an unforgettable day that we did not want to end. It should not be missed!!!
