The Isle of Capri Paddlecraft Park requires a $10 Parking Pass per vehicle if you do not have a Collier County Beach Parking Sticker

Children under 12 must ride in a tandem kayak with an adult

What To Expect

Marco Island

We will be paddling into the Mangrove Tunnels of the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve just North of Marco Island launching from the Isle of Capri Paddlecraft Park. The regions only biologist guides will help you find unique wildlife while teaching you about the ecology and history of this amazing place! Get on the water with the guides who have spent their lives studying this area and explore with a real local biologist!

After exploring the mangrove tunnels with the only biologist guides in Naples & Marco, visit our partners at the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center and enjoy FREE ADMISSION with the purchase of your tour ticket to explore their exhibits, aquariums, art gallery, theater, and hiking trails! Be sure to ask about becoming a member of the Friends of Rookery Bay to further support the Reserve, gain access to special programs, events, volunteer opportunities, and discounts on tours, rentals, and at the nature store!

We went on a very windy day, it was more difficult to reach our first destination with the wind and small waves, instead of taking us though the mangroove she head for open waterr, which made staying in a group very difficult, with some lagging behind. At one point while waiting for the group to catch up, she pulled over with many crashing into each other, the male guide saw the problem right away and move the kayak around to the other side of cove where there was little wind. Mangrove were beautiful and I would of like to see more of them. Learned more about the rookery she was very knowledgeable about that.

This was a great trip! We did it with our two boys (10 and 7) in tandem kayaks. They had a fantastic time "cruising", and we were rewarded with sights of dolphins and a ray! Winston and Renee were wonderful, and very willing to answer questions (especially the endless questions from two young passengers). I strongly recommend them and Rising Tide. We'll be back!

Four of us 70 year olds joined Winston and Rene on the Mangrove Tunnel Tour. What a wonderful experience! Most of us had never been in a kayak before. Their patience and encouragement allowed for a an amazing outdoor experience that provided for a unique perspective of the Southwest Florida environment. We would gladly encourage others to enjoy this great experience.
