The Isle of Capri Paddlecraft Park requires a $10 Parking Pass per vehicle if you do not have a Collier County Beach Parking Sticker

What To Expect

Marco Island

We will be paddling into the Mangrove Tunnels of the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve just North of Marco Island launching from the Isle of Capri Paddlecraft Park. The regions only biologist guides will help you find unique wildlife while teaching you about the ecology and history of this amazing place! Get on the water with the guides who have spent their lives studying this area and explore with a real local biologist!

After exploring the mangrove tunnels with the only biologist guides in Naples & Marco, visit our partners at the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center and enjoy FREE ADMISSION with the purchase of your tour ticket to explore their exhibits, aquariums, art gallery, theater, and hiking trails! Be sure to ask about becoming a member of the Friends of Rookery Bay to further support the Reserve, gain access to special programs, events, volunteer opportunities, and discounts on tours, rentals, and at the nature store!

My spouse and I have taken many Kayak tours over the years. We are avid Kayakers and have been fortunate to have visited many Kayak places in the U.S. including Maine, rivers and various ocean locations in Massachusetts, Sarasota Florida, and Maui Hawaii. Several things made this Kayak experience exceptional. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and had degrees in ecology and significant understanding of the biology and ornithology of Rookery Estuary, On our trip we stopped and found live oysters, starfish, and conches. We also saw two dolphins that were jumping out of the water and swimming together. We also saw Osprey feeding their young. If you are someone who wants to develop a deeper appreciation of the hidden world of nature that makes up the Rookery Estuary, you can’t go wrong with a tour with Rising Tide. Thank you to Kelly and Monica for making our experience so wonderful. We look forwarding to joining you again soon.

While visiting the area, we signed up for this tour based on TripAdvisor reviews. We were very glad we did. Being very novice kayakers, we wondered about keeping up with everyone else. Robin assured us that this would not be a problem. And she was right. Highly recommend anyone interested in this tour do it. Are guides, Evan and Robin, were very professional and extremely knowledgeable. We were treated to many bird sightings, explanations about the mangroves, and several hands experiences with starfish and crabs. And the kayaking was enjoyable.

Great tour! Sam our guide knew so much and made the tour fascinating! She picks up all kinds of conch, sea stars, jelly fish and shows them to you.
