The Isle of Capri Paddlecraft Park requires a $10 Parking Pass per vehicle if you do not have a Collier County Beach Parking Sticker

What To Expect

Marco Island

We will be paddling into the Mangrove Tunnels of the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve just North of Marco Island launching from the Isle of Capri Paddlecraft Park. The regions only biologist guides will help you find unique wildlife while teaching you about the ecology and history of this amazing place! Get on the water with the guides who have spent their lives studying this area and explore with a real local biologist!

After exploring the mangrove tunnels with the only biologist guides in Naples & Marco, visit our partners at the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center and enjoy FREE ADMISSION with the purchase of your tour ticket to explore their exhibits, aquariums, art gallery, theater, and hiking trails! Be sure to ask about becoming a member of the Friends of Rookery Bay to further support the Reserve, gain access to special programs, events, volunteer opportunities, and discounts on tours, rentals, and at the nature store!

So our trip was with Helen and she was so insightful. A lot to say about everything and it was so fun. We went at end of August and though it was a high tide, we still got to have an exciting excursion. Helen encouraged us to be adventurous in a chaotic positive experience which net us a pretty rare discovery — a female lighting whelk. Her “ooh what is it? See it… touch it… pick it up…” aura radiated the right amount of energy that made it our favorite part of our week long vacation in Naples, FL. The mangrove tunnels were living and breathing, and the photos were part of the cost of the journey. If possible, do the voyage with Helen — it would be more personable, explorative, and wild.

Rachel and Rene were super knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guides; their understanding of the biology of the area was amazing. I learned so much and it was a perfect weather day on the water of Rookery Bay!
