The Isle of Capri Paddlecraft Park requires a $10 Parking Pass per vehicle if you do not have a Collier County Beach Parking Sticker

Children under 12 must ride in a tandem kayak with an adult

What To Expect

Marco Island

We will be paddling into the Mangrove Tunnels of the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve just North of Marco Island launching from the Isle of Capri Paddlecraft Park. The regions only biologist guides will help you find unique wildlife while teaching you about the ecology and history of this amazing place! Get on the water with the guides who have spent their lives studying this area and explore with a real local biologist!

After exploring the mangrove tunnels with the only biologist guides in Naples & Marco, visit our partners at the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center and enjoy FREE ADMISSION with the purchase of your tour ticket to explore their exhibits, aquariums, art gallery, theater, and hiking trails! Be sure to ask about becoming a member of the Friends of Rookery Bay to further support the Reserve, gain access to special programs, events, volunteer opportunities, and discounts on tours, rentals, and at the nature store!

My whole family (ages spanning 10 to 60) had a blast on this kayak tour. Lots of beautiful nature to see, and friendly, knowledgeable guides. The equipment (kayaks, life vests, and dry bags) was comfortable and well cared for. All in all, a great way to spend the morning!

Learning cool stuff about the mangrove trees from biologists was the best! I loved Evan and Sam sharing their knowledge with us. They were fun and made the science interesting and relevant. Being out in the mangroves is a treat. We were able to get out of the kayaks at one point and wade through the water looking for whelks and sea stars. We found both! I've been kayaking in Rookery Bay for 20 years back when the Conservancy on SW Florida was out Shell Road. I always learn something new and never tire of the scenery. Bring bug spray!
