We booked this tour the day before and they were great to work with. They had everything ready to go when we showed up in the morning. The tour itself was a bust. We kayaked for two hours and we saw a jellyfish and some tiny mangrove crabs. My advice is to do some research before booking a tour. Ask the guides what kind of wildlife is in the area, how frequent the sightings are, what time of day....

Hello FancyPants2021. Thank you for your feedback! I would like to clear some things up for you and those reading this review as it is not a reflection of our company or the quality of the service we provide...but a review of wildlife sightings which we have absolutely no control over. Based on your review it appears that you were not on a guided tour, but an unguided kayak rental for which we set up the kayaks and equipment in advance and give you recommendations/guidance on how to explore this beautiful area on your own with ease. Sounds like you had a great experience with our staff and equipment! Had you signed up for a guided tour, our guides would have helped to find wildlife and also helped those participating to appreciate this incredible natural area for everything that it is regardless of the wildlife sightings on any given adventure. Rookery Bay is one of the most unique ecological places on Earth and its difficult not to be awe struck by it all once you've learned about it from a real local biologist. While we thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, we would ask that you reassess, edit, or remove your 3-star rating so that it reflects the service you received instead of damaging our outstanding reputation with an average/below average rating based on wildlife sightings. We have absolutely no control over the wildlife in this beautiful, wild, open, natural area as it is not a zoo or an aquarium. We would greatly appreciate it if you would give us a call at your earliest convenience and/or adjust your feedback to represent the service you received rather than the behavior of local wild animals. We would also love to tell you more about the jellyfish you encountered as it may have been one of the incredible upside down jellies (Cassiopeia) that we have in our area. Such an amazing critter with some really interesting adaptations! Hope to speak with you soon and get you back out on the water for more adventure, learning, and the best opportunity to experience the local wildlife in it's natural environment.

We did the Heart of Rookery Bay kayak tour. Our guide Winston was enthusiastic and knowledgeable! We had a day with still waters, so this required little physical effort.....easy paddling. Our tour was at 9 am and it got hot out there. Definitely wear sun protective clothing, a hat and sunglasses. I had long sleeves, but short pants and my legs were sunburned despite spf 50 lotion. Surprisingly there were no bugs to contend with. We highly recommend this tour.....learned a lot about the ecosystem in our area.

Thank you for the kind words and we are so glad you had a blast with Winston! He is extremely knowledgeable and so much for to explore with. We are knocking on summer's door, so always good to be prepared for the warm weather with all the suggested items on our 'what to bring' list. So glad you had a great time and we look forward to having you back again sometime soon for more adventure!!
