The Isle of Capri Paddlecraft Park requires a $10 Parking Pass per vehicle if you do not have a Collier County Beach Parking Sticker

Children under 12 must ride in a tandem kayak with an adult

What To Expect

Marco Island

We will be paddling into the Mangrove Tunnels of the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve just North of Marco Island launching from the Isle of Capri Paddlecraft Park. The regions only biologist guides will help you find unique wildlife while teaching you about the ecology and history of this amazing place! Get on the water with the guides who have spent their lives studying this area and explore with a real local biologist!

After exploring the mangrove tunnels with the only biologist guides in Naples & Marco, visit our partners at the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center and enjoy FREE ADMISSION with the purchase of your tour ticket to explore their exhibits, aquariums, art gallery, theater, and hiking trails! Be sure to ask about becoming a member of the Friends of Rookery Bay to further support the Reserve, gain access to special programs, events, volunteer opportunities, and discounts on tours, rentals, and at the nature store!

My kids (12 and 14) were dreading this kayaking excursion but they both told me afterwards that they had a great time and enjoyed themselves. Sam was our guide and she was wonderful! At the beginning of the tour, I told her that my son loves crabs. She found a small crab during the tour and made a point to show it to him. We were also shown and had an opportunity to hold a horse conch, hermit crab and sea stars. The scenery was beautiful and we saw many birds and a mom and baby dolphin. I am always the picture taker of the family so I am never in any pictures. I loved that Rising Tide took photos of everyone with a DSLR. I was emailed a link with the pictures and was thrilled to have some of myself. :) Thanks for the great tour!

On this tour our guide, Sam, gave us the opportunity to see, and hold such sealift as snails and starfish. I thought it quite trilling. The company and its employees creates an intimate family like camaraderie among its groups. And at the same time, they help support important ongoing research at Rookery Bay.

We reserved kayaks to be delivered to Capri Paddle Park. When we got there, the kayaks, paddles, pfds, dry bag and map were all there and ready to go. The young lady, I think her name was Sue, was very helpful to us and even dragged our kayaks out into the water. She also pulled up the interactive map on my cellphone, which proved to be helpful in the mangrove tunnels. We really like the kayaks RT provides. They are comfortable and stable.
