The Isle of Capri Paddlecraft Park requires a $10 Parking Pass per vehicle if you do not have a Collier County Beach Parking Sticker

Children under 12 must ride in a tandem kayak with an adult

What To Expect

Marco Island

We will be paddling into the Mangrove Tunnels of the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve just North of Marco Island launching from the Isle of Capri Paddlecraft Park. The regions only biologist guides will help you find unique wildlife while teaching you about the ecology and history of this amazing place! Get on the water with the guides who have spent their lives studying this area and explore with a real local biologist!

After exploring the mangrove tunnels with the only biologist guides in Naples & Marco, visit our partners at the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center and enjoy FREE ADMISSION with the purchase of your tour ticket to explore their exhibits, aquariums, art gallery, theater, and hiking trails! Be sure to ask about becoming a member of the Friends of Rookery Bay to further support the Reserve, gain access to special programs, events, volunteer opportunities, and discounts on tours, rentals, and at the nature store!

Really nice kayak trip this morning. Guides Evan and Renee were friendly and knowledgeable Evan even got out of his boat with a snorkel to find live shells and a sea star. Amazing

First of all, we needed to rebook our kayak tour due to a family members delayed flight and Ryan was nice about rebooking us. Sam and Winston were our guides and were clearly knowledgeable about the estuary, mangroves, ocean life, reptiles, etc. We kayaked out to the oyster bed and learned a lot about the oyster life cycle, natural water filtration and the the mangroves. In just a short time, we stopped in a shallow area to wade. We had only kayaked a short time and this was a long break in ankle deep water. The leader checked her watch quite often and it seemed she was struggling to fill the time. Another member of our group made this same comment upon our return. We did do a few short stretches through the mangrove tunnels before heading back.

Rising Tide Explorers will not disappoint! They were organized, knowledgeable, patient and fun to be with. The mangrove tunnels were serene and beautiful, the open water kayaking was exhilarating but not too difficult. I can’t wait to check out the other tours they offer.
