We went out to kayak around the mangrove islands near Isle of Capri. Our guide, Forrest, was an absolute treasure trove of biological insights. He knew we were birders and was quick to help us identify birds right out of the gate. He gave us insights into the history, development, and biology of the area laced with comments about species and their proliferation and survival in the area. Best of all, he was nothing but helpful when my dumb ass capsized the kayak! He helped my wife and I get back in the boat and was not judgmental about how we ended up in the water. This was a great trip and we would do it again in a minute.

Took the Mangrove Tunnels & Mudflats Kayak tour on Dec 31st with 4 adults and two young adventurers (5 & 8). Sam and Winston were a wealth of knowledge - wonderful educators for adults and children alike! We learned history about the estuary, about the mangroves and some of its inhabitants. The water was very rough that day, but both guides were attentive to the groups needs and ensured everyone got back to the dock comfortably and at their own pace. (They do offer tow ropes if anyone needs a little assist!) We look forward to doing another tour with Rising Tide in the future! Highly recommended!
