Overview

Our tours are geared towards first time and new paddlers. We go at your speed so you don't have to worry about going out and getting exhausted. Grab a friend and come along for a unique adventure on the #1-rated Eco-Tour through the mangrove ecosystem. Choose your kayak - single or double - and glide in our shallow clear water over sponges, grass beds, and sandy patches. Looking down, you might see a small nurse shark, turtle, or stingray, or can observe dolphins and manatees. Above water, herons, pelicans, and ospreys settle on the mangroves and hunt for fish. While there are no guaranteed wildlife sightings, we always see something cool in this one-of-a-kind estuary ecosystem that starts right outside the back door of our shop.

Well-organized. Prompt and courteous. Knowledgable guide. Saw some interesting flora and fauna, in particular some close-up-and-personal events with jellyfish and tree crabs. Novices will enjoy this as much as seasoned kayakers.

It was fun to paddle right into the mangroves. We went into the canopied area of the mangroves where we used our hands to propel ourselves, using branches and roots. Unfortunately, we hardly saw wildlife through the entire tour. It was a group of 9 people and the guide spoke only to the person directly behind her since the rest of the group was paddling single file in a line behind her. I would recommend taking a kayak since it is more comfortable to sit and paddle for about 2 hours rather than having to balance on a paddle board for that length of time. There’s a large restroom where one can easily change into a swimsuit. Recommend wearing a swimsuit because one gets a little wet because of the splashing, especially when crossing the channel to get to the mangroves. Keys can be left safely at the store. A waterproof bag is handy to have for wallet and camera. Bring a water bottle or you can buy a water pouch at the Paddle store. Waterproof camera pouch, bathing suits, etc can be purchased at the store, too.

thanks for joining us. one of the reasons we encourage the use of paddleboards is that with the higher viewing angle you can see more of what's below the water plus a paddler can always sit or kneel on the paddleboard if they don't feel like standing the whole time. we also take frequent stops. that said, sometimes the animals just don't show up no matter what. hope you see more next time you go out with us if you're back in town.

We had an awesome tour through the Mangrove tunnels. Our guide was really knowledgeable and went above and beyond for us.
