Mangroves and Manatees - Guided Kayak Eco Tour

Overview

Our tours are geared towards first time and new paddlers. We go at your speed so you don't have to worry about going out and getting exhausted. Grab a friend and come along for a unique adventure on the #1-rated Eco-Tour through the mangrove ecosystem. Choose your kayak - single or double - and glide in our shallow clear water over sponges, grass beds, and sandy patches. Looking down, you might see a small nurse shark, turtle, or stingray, or can observe dolphins and manatees. Above water, herons, pelicans, and ospreys settle on the mangroves and hunt for fish. While there are no guaranteed wildlife sightings, we always see something cool in this one-of-a-kind estuary ecosystem that starts right outside the back door of our shop.

My husband and I went on this trip. He paddle boarded and I kayaked. It was peaceful and easy. Although we did not see a manatee, it was well worth our time and money. We saw stingrays and birds. The best part is going through the mangroves. Mike, our guide, was the “Kevin Costner of Waterworld.”

We had quite an enjoyable time paddle up the river and into the narrow mangroves. Spotted a lot of cool fish and birds. The quiet journey under the canopy of mangroves was superb. I really enjoyed the relaxing nature of this experience.

I did the 2 hour Kayak eco tour. It was so relaxing a peaceful. My guide was excellent. I am hoping to get back to try out the paddle boards for the first time and do some more exploring.
