Overview

Our tours are geared towards first time and new paddlers. We go at your speed so you don't have to worry about going out and getting exhausted. Grab a friend and come along for a unique adventure on the #1-rated Eco-Tour through the mangrove ecosystem. Choose your kayak - single or double - and glide in our shallow clear water over sponges, grass beds, and sandy patches. Looking down, you might see a small nurse shark, turtle, or stingray, or can observe dolphins and manatees. Above water, herons, pelicans, and ospreys settle on the mangroves and hunt for fish. While there are no guaranteed wildlife sightings, we always see something cool in this one-of-a-kind estuary ecosystem that starts right outside the back door of our shop.

Really amazing experience with our guide Brittney! She helped every one from newbies to experienced kayakers navigate the channel and mangroves. Best part was getting to swim in the mangroves. Definitely recommend this company if you are looking to try kayaking while in the keys!

My friend and I loved the guided tour of the mangroves. Our guide was great and pointed out jellyfish, fish, and birds that we might not have spotted otherwise. He also took us down a canal where he thought there might be manatees, and we saw several which was a lot of fun. I would highly recommend this excursion. It was the highlight of my trip!

This is a great option to get out on the water for a first-time experience exploring the Keys. Check in is fast and online (no filling out paperwork), the equipment well-maintained and the spot is in a good location, right off the highway and next to cozy little spots to grab lunch afterwards. Our kayak tour was small (7 people) which makes for a nice manageable group. We kayaked alongside dolphins and saw crabs, jellyfish, nurse sharks, herons, egrets, pelicans and plenty of fish, including a few tarpon. One surprise was that we spent the first half of the tour cruising residential canals rather than the mangroves. Our tour guide was super friendly, helpful and eager to make sure this was a great day. She took a lot of photos of all of us, which documented the whole experience in a really nice way. We didn't see any manatees on the water but one happened to be resting in the marina when we got back. We were all thrilled to see one up close! Tip: It would be helpful to give the group an overview before leaving: show us the route on a map and explain the basic 'rules of the water' before you're out there. You may also want to give beginners get some practice time before embarking as a group.
