Mangroves and Manatees - Guided Kayak Eco Tour

Overview
Our tours are geared towards first time and new paddlers.  We go at your speed so you don't have to worry about going out and getting exhausted.  Grab a friend and come along for a unique adventure on the #1-rated Eco-Tour through the mangrove ecosystem. Choose your kayak - single or double - and glide in our shallow clear water over sponges, grass beds, and sandy patches. Looking down, you might see a small nurse shark, turtle, or stingray, or can observe dolphins and manatees. Above water, herons, pelicans, and ospreys settle on the mangroves and hunt for fish. While there are no guaranteed wildlife sightings, we always see something cool in this one-of-a-kind estuary ecosystem that starts right outside the back door of our shop.

Our guide was Suzie and her dog Slinky. She was a great guide. There were 8 people in our group kayaking. As we were traveling it started to rain so we paddled into a mangrove for shelter until it let up. Then we kept paddling into more mangroves. Some branches were so low you had to put the paddles in the boat and pull your way along using the branches. It was great! Because of the rain the water wasn't quite as clear but we still saw fish and some nurse sharks. It was a great adventure! It's a must do whenever we go to the Keys! Our teenage grandkids loved it and so did the adults! Thank you so much Suzie and Slinky for a wonderful adventure!

My husband, myself, and my daughter did the mangrove guided kayak tour. What an amazing adventure! We saw a mama and baby manatee, they swam all around us! The mangrove trail was super cool, something we wouldn’t have done on our own…it led us to a little lake with jellyfish that we could hold! So fun, lots of amazing videos and pictures, and wonderful memories. Slinky the kayak dog was amazing, too! Thanks so much!!

What a wonderful experience! We have 4 teenagers and this was an awesome way to spend a day together and see some of Florida’s nature at its best. Our guide Britney was awesome! She was knowledgeable, kind, fun, tons of energy and knew exactly where to look for wildlife. We saw a pod of dolphins! Never expected that! Even if we didn’t see anything we would have thoroughly enjoyed it. The scenery is gorgeous and learning about the local wildlife and history of the area was excellent. We highly recommend this trip for anyone - even if you’ve never kayaked before. Just take your time and enjoy the views!
