Overview

Our tours are geared towards first time and new paddlers. We go at your speed so you don't have to worry about going out and getting exhausted. Grab a friend and come along for a unique adventure on the #1-rated Eco-Tour through the mangrove ecosystem. Choose your kayak - single or double - and glide in our shallow clear water over sponges, grass beds, and sandy patches. Looking down, you might see a small nurse shark, turtle, or stingray, or can observe dolphins and manatees. Above water, herons, pelicans, and ospreys settle on the mangroves and hunt for fish. While there are no guaranteed wildlife sightings, we always see something cool in this one-of-a-kind estuary ecosystem that starts right outside the back door of our shop.

Fun way to explore the mangroves. Our guide, Suzanne was very knowledgeable and the finale was observing two manatees.

My wife and I have done this tour twice, our first time SUPing in June of 2017 and the most recent, 3/13/2021. We brought our two daughters this trip, the 15 year old has minimal paddle boarding experience, she did well and the 8 year old rode on the front of my board. Little one stood up for the first time and now wants to paddle on her own. The uniqueness of this tour is something we enjoy; getting to learn about and explore the mangroves is a change of pace from other tours we have done just paddling open water. The guide pointed out lots wildlife along the tour; iguanas, many types of fish, sponges, jellyfish, she mentioned a harmless mangrove snake, which I was looking hard for but never saw one, they are very elusive. We were lucky enough to see a young dolphin playing in the in canal when we headed back to the shop. Really great experience for the girls. They also have facilities available for changing and getting cleaned up if needed. Their store also has lots of nice gifts, we bought the now 15 year old her first skateboard back in '17, a Land Yacht and she found a new Sector 9 board this trip, I'm guessing the skateboarding helps her paddle boarding balance. The little one added new stuffed animals to her collection. Overall a great experience and one we highly recommend.

My daughter and I had an excellent morning tandem kayak with Steve. Extremely laid back, enthusiastic and conscientious of the beautiful environment. The young lady and gentleman at the front office were super helpful and friendly too. Book with them and you won't be disappointed!
