Mangroves and Manatees - Guided Kayak Eco Tour

Overview
Our tours are geared towards first time and new paddlers.  We go at your speed so you don't have to worry about going out and getting exhausted.  Grab a friend and come along for a unique adventure on the #1-rated Eco-Tour through the mangrove ecosystem. Choose your kayak - single or double - and glide in our shallow clear water over sponges, grass beds, and sandy patches. Looking down, you might see a small nurse shark, turtle, or stingray, or can observe dolphins and manatees. Above water, herons, pelicans, and ospreys settle on the mangroves and hunt for fish. While there are no guaranteed wildlife sightings, we always see something cool in this one-of-a-kind estuary ecosystem that starts right outside the back door of our shop.

Beautiful little ride deep into the hammock tunnel. Very cool and unusual. Not too much of a physical challenge but a little bit of work. Guides can be a bit snippy. But overall worth the time, especially if you are lucky enough to see a manatee ( we weren’t).

This was really cool. A little on the open and a little in the mangrove trees. Fun paddling through the mangrove tunnel. One thing to remember- these are ocean kayaks and your legs are exposed to the sun. I forgot and got sunburned legs and feet. It also ran a little longer than expected so keep that in mind if you have other tours planned. All in all, a great time.
