Mangroves and Manatees - Guided Kayak Eco Tour

Overview
Our tours are geared towards first time and new paddlers.  We go at your speed so you don't have to worry about going out and getting exhausted.  Grab a friend and come along for a unique adventure on the #1-rated Eco-Tour through the mangrove ecosystem. Choose your kayak - single or double - and glide in our shallow clear water over sponges, grass beds, and sandy patches. Looking down, you might see a small nurse shark, turtle, or stingray, or can observe dolphins and manatees. Above water, herons, pelicans, and ospreys settle on the mangroves and hunt for fish. While there are no guaranteed wildlife sightings, we always see something cool in this one-of-a-kind estuary ecosystem that starts right outside the back door of our shop.

We are an active couple in our 60s who always seek a bit of adventure in our travels. The 2 hour kayak trip was a perfect activity to escape touristy Florida Key activities and learn about the environment. Suzanne was the perfect guide who shared an abundance of information on the mangroves, hurricanes, and the Florida Keys ecosystem. She was also super friendly and made us feel very comfortable on the water. The manatees who were in the canal at the end of the trip were an extra bonus.

thanks for coming to visit us and i'm glad you got to see the manatees. they are our most special residents and we still stop everything in the shop if they are out back. (happened just this morning) glad you had an enjoyable tour with Susanne as she really is passionate about sharing our local ecosystem.

We had a great time with Suzanne rowing through the mangroves. We saw crabs, lots of fish, a jelly fish, hermit crabs, and different types of birds. Our guide brought along her pup, Slinky which was pretty cool too!

We went up a mangrove creek and had a blast. Only disappointment was no manatee sighting. But we saw plenty of other wildlife.

our manatees are still being trained to perform on cue :-) actually, i'm sorry you didn't see any. we had one out the back porch just this morning. they are such a cool animal and we love helping people connect with them. hopefully they will be around next time you come to visit. thanks for leaving a review.
