Overview

Relax and unwind on this 1.5-hour evening Jazz cruise on a 1920s style yacht. This cruise features a main glass enclosed observation cabin with comfortable bench seating throughout, as well as an open bow. Each booking party will be assigned a private table separated by Plexiglass. Listen to live music by the jazz trio, whose members may play anything from classic jazz standards by Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Duke Ellington to new renditions of Motown songs, R&B grooves, and today's hits. Cruise along the Hudson River and experience many major lower Manhattan sites.

We read about this cruise on the web and decided to go for it, even though it was a little pricey. Good decision!! The Manhattan II was beautiful, with lots of wood panelling and carpets inside. The tables were separated by plexiglass dividers (Covid.....), which was strange but required by regulations. There was a lovely jazz trio that played throughout the cruise. The cocktails and munchies were great. The cruise took us all the way down to the Statue of Liberty and back, providing great views of Lower Manhattan and its new architectural additions, including the new World Trade Center. There was ample deck space for whoever wanted to be in the fresh air (and the wind......) and who wanted to take proper photos (me, for example....). Lovely Cruise!! Beautiful Evening!! Funnily enough, it was our 30 wedding anniversary and we forgot about it completely until we received greetings by email the following morning.......

It was a beautiful day and the cruise was lovely. Hard to hear the music unless you were sitting close but we spent most of the time outside the cabin anyway. I was disappointing we didn’t go up the East River though.

This cruise is a wonderful experience definitely worth booking. The views from both inside and outside of the boat are unmatched anywhere in the city. Live jazz music provided a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of walking through the city.
