Thoroughly enjoyed insightful tour of the multiculturism of Queens. With Andrew as our tour guide, our family, including three young adults, got a glimpse of the food and wares of several different nationalities. We visited neighborhood grocery stores, bakeries and vendors as Andrew gave us the history of the area. We enjoyed the information and the experience - this kind of "behind-the-scenes" tour made our whole NY trip an "experience" to remember and not merely another vacation.

Andrew was terrific: well versed in the history of the city, and also up to date on current trends. I asked for a tour that touched on old New York and the tenements; we went through many of the ethnic neighborhoods including Chinatown and Little Italy. He pointed out little shops I never would have stopped in myself, but which opened up my view of new york (malaysian beef/chicken/shrimp jerky from a tiny storefront kitchen?). I've been to Manhattan for work probably thirty times, and lived in Brooklyn briefly, so I felt familiar with the city; our walking tour leveraged what I already knew and made my experience and knowledge of the city much deeper. We were a group of 4, which I think is a perfect size to both share opinions and also be able to ask questions without slowing things down. Highly recommended.

Dan proved to be a fantastic private guide as he took 7 of us around Manhattan. Very friendly and adaptable and with 4 girls on the tour (my wife, sister and 2 nieces) very patient as they continually stopped to check out fashions. Great way to see New York and would highly recommend Dan and Streetwise New York.
