My husband and I have done at least six walking tours with Streetwise over the past 3-4 years. We have seen parts of the city I would never have experienced and I have spent a lot of time in New York! This year we did the Upper West Side and Central Park and then Chelsea, the High Line and Greenwich Village. I always learn so much on these tours. All tours include a subway ride, which is a must for anyone who really wants to experience Manhattan. The guides are very knowledgeable and fun. Our tours have included people from all over the world: Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. The Pod hotels offer these tours for free most days of the week, which is how we have taken advantage of them. The tours last about 2 1/2 hours and cover a good deal of ground. Very worthwhile and highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I attended 3 walking tours (Greenwich Village, High Line, China Town, Little Italy, during our one-week-stay in NYC. We booked one first but then we had such a great time that we wanted to go to as many tours of theirs as possible. The guides were very nice and well-informed. They told plenty interesting stories and details about the locations which we could take with us home and talk about with enthusiasm. It was the best part of our trip.
