I recently took my daughter to NYC for her 18th birthday. We had Saturday morning free and noticed our hotel, The Pods, was offering a free walking tour of DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights. We signed up and both my daughter and I feel it was a top highlight of our stay in NYC. Andrew was an outstanding guide, sharing information of interest in a relaxed format. I will seek out Streetwise when I'm back in NYC again. I would gladly pay for one of their tours.

Andrew was our tour guide and he was fantastic! We’ve taken a bunch of walking tours and this was one of our favorites. He was laid back and informative, not cheesy and scripted as they can sometimes be. We saw so many cool things that we wouldn’t have otherwise gotten to see and he had excellent suggestions for after the tour. It’s obvious he’s passionate about his city and it was infectious! Book it!

We met Andrew and had a great walking tour of the Lower East Side and Chinatown, with a particular focus on immigration and how the areas have changed over time as a result of the people that came to NYC, making it the wonderful, vibrant, amazing city that it is. We went to Essex Street Market and had some of the best coffee I've ever tasted at the Porto RIco Importing co. Fascinating place, I wish I had brought some of those coffee beans home with me! We also looked at some fantastic street art and architecturally beautiful, historic buildings. Andrew really knew his stuff and was very engaging and informative. I would not hesitate to go on another Streetwise NY tour. Highly recommended.
