I spent . week in New York with a very vague idea of what the sites were that I wanted to see. When I arrived at Pod 51, I saw that they had organised walking tours with streetwise for each morning and I was super excited to join these. I joined the tours each day. We had a number of different guides that took us through the various areas in New York. All of the guides were experts in their areas and able to share some of the 'in' knowledge about the area. The tours typically ended at about 12:30 in an area where it was easy to get lunch and do some further exploration. Without these tours, I think my holiday would have been far less rich. Thank you so much to Pod 51 and sStreetwise.

Streetwise NY Tours are outstanding, top-notch, and worth every penny! I booked 3 private Streetwise Tours for our family while we were visiting NYC a few weeks ago to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. We have a 10-year-old son, and I wanted us to really experience as much of NY as possible. What better way to do this than by 3-hour walking tours?! *Please note that each tour we took, we opted to do the private tour for just our family. I'm sure the non-private tours are fabulous as well. I booked the Manhattan private walking tour for Sunday, October 8. The tour was with Sonya, and she was perfect! We walked to and through basically every neighborhood in Manhattan. We stopped at parks, and our son got to play a bit. Sonya was full of great info. We went to The High Line as well. We even stopped at The Chess Forum shop (per my son's request) in Greenwich Village, and our son got to play chess. We took the subway with her a couple of times which was very fun. Our first time! It was SO nice to be with someone who knew where they were going and what they were doing. We weren't having to look at our phone GPS or wonder if we were in ok spots. It was a no stress, fantastic tour, and I highly recommend the 3-hour Manhattan tour! On Wednesday, October 11, we did the 3-hour private walking tour of Brooklyn with David. It was awesome! We explored all over Brooklyn, including walking across the Brooklyn Bridge: a true highlight!! As I stated above, being with someone who knows what subways to get on, where to go, what areas to be in, and what to do is SO nice. No stress! Just follow, listen, learn, and enjoy! The 3-hour Brooklyn tour was outstanding, and David was a terrific guide! Lastly, on Friday, October 13, we took the 3-hour private walking tour of Queens with Dan. I am SO thankful we did this! We NEVER could have done this on our own. We went in grocery stores and shops, which might sound like no big deal, but WOW! They are totally different. It was such an eye opening tour for our son (and us). Dan was extremely knowledgeable and professional (as were Sonya and David). The 3-hour tour of Queens was a highlight for us. I cannot say enough how pleased my husband and I were with all 3 of our Streetwise Tours. Dan has a top-notch company, and we would definitely use them again.

Great communication with Dan at Streetwise. We gave some ideas about things we would like to see and David our tour guide completely nailed it! We loved his sense of humour getting his opinion on the best, the quirky and the ridiculous of NYC. Totally recommend this unique walking tour - we did 6 hours of history, iconic moments, culture and food! It was crazy good! We satisfied age groups from 23 to 60 with great information, humour, knowledge and perspective! Best bits Chinese market and dollar dumplings, architecture and fashion in soho and 911 memorial. Don't think about any other tour company if you want to get under the skin of NYC. Streetwise get it spot on!
