Arrived at the Pod 51 too early to check in and the walking tour was about to start so despite a 20 hour flight I joined in. We caught the subway downtown (Dan helped with the purchase of my weekly ticket). Dan was an enthusiastic guide, quirky, interested in the history, the graffiti and the village of NY, what it was, what it is, how it became that way. He showed us stuff we would not otherwise of seen and gave great eating recommendations. He was knowledgeable. What a great start to my NY visit. If you get the chance to take the tour with him, take it!

Andrew took us to Brooklyn as a part of the pod hotel contracted tours. It was such a cool experience to interact intimately with the neighborhood. I almost forgot I was a tourist! Andrew was extremely accommodating and helped everyone get to their next destination atbthr close of the tour. This was a very unique tour and definitely the highlight of my short trip.

Rain, shine, or snow, Dan will happily take you around NYC's neighborhoods. Despite a ridiculous snowstorm, we opted to check out Chinatown, Little Italy, Soho, and Greenwich. Dan was prompt, friendly, and extremely professional via email. He was early for our tour and extremely sweet and personable in person. He remembered all my special requests and was quite flexible. My girlfriends raved and raved about him post-tour. It was definitely the perfect way to explore unfamiliar areas of the city. We passed many huge tour groups and couldn't help but say "thank goodness" we weren't part of them. We loved having Dan all to ourselves.
