Ensure a manta ray sighting on this 2.5-hour night tour. Head out in Kona, one of the best places in the world to see mantas, to see the sunset over the water before jumping in to enjoy swimming with manta rays in their underwater nighttime realm. "Manta safari" guides escort you around the site with a mobile light show that attracts these gentle and fascinating creatures. Relax on the observation deck with unobstructed viewing and plenty of room to move around. All snorkel equipment, including flotation devices and wetsuits, is included.

Jan 1- March 31 departure time is 5:30PM and 8:30pm April 1- September 31 departure time is 6PM and 9pm, October 1- December 31 departure time is 5PM and 8pm. You will be placed where there is availability. Please call 24 hours prior to confirm departure time.

The reason for the 3 stars is solely due to the amazing manta rays, not the crew. The crew alone would have gotten 1 star. We did the manta ray snorkel with Ocean Encounters on 10/18/22. We were so excited because we had previously done one in 2015 with another operator and loved it. Although the rays were still amazing and awesome, the crew was less than desirable. Only one of the 4 or 5 crew members was friendly. The others, Captain “Momi” included, seemed totally disinterested in the passengers and had little to no enthusiasm for their jobs. They never smiled, or tried in any way to interact and make passengers comfortable. It was very disappointing. A tour guide’s enthusiasm can be contagious (in a good way), or alternatively, depressing. They never talked to the passengers about the manta rays. We will never book anything through Ocean Encounters again.
