This was one of the coolest things I've ever done, and so worth the money. My teenage son and I went on the 6pm tour. The crew was great. It was very rough on the ride over, and my son was nervous. The crew told us it was not that bad and is worse a lot of the time. When we got there he said, you know when I said it wasn't that bad...it was pretty bad. But his tactic had worked and we weren't as nervous! The manta rays showed up right away, and we were able to get in. While we watched, they talked about the rays, and educated us. It was so amazing having these giant gentle creatures swim right below you. Even the teenager thought it was cool, which isn't easy with him! Even if you can't swim, they load you up with noodles so you're comfortable. Their biggest concern was for the safety of the animals and guests. They do supply wet suits, but we still got cold near the end. It was still completely worth it. It was an incredible experience that you must do if you're visiting the big island.

Unbelievable experience! 8 giant manta rays swimming next to me eating plankton was one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen. Cher and Will took excellent care of us, while also teaching us about the amazing creatures. The boat had all ages and even kids that couldn’t swim. Will and Cher made sure everyone was safe. My poor daughter got sea sick and couldn’t go in, but my son said it was the best thing he’s ever done in his life. If you look at the uploaded pic, that giant white blur is a huge ray. They had snacks, boat bathroom, and water. We forgot towels, we’ll remember them for next time. No way are we only doing this once. Bring cash to tip the guides, they are awesome!
