"Manta safari" guides escort you around the site with a mobile light show that attracts these gentle and fascinating creatures. Jan 1- March 31 departure time is 5:30PM and 8:30pm April 1- September 31 departure time is 6PM and 9pm, October 1- December 31 departure time is 5PM and 8pm. You will be placed where there is availability. Please call 24 hours prior to confirm departure time.

Did not really know what to expect or how we were gonna react. Bryan and the awesome crew of the OE 2 put us right in the middle of a swarm of mantas. One of the most amazing things Ive ever seen. This experience was AMAZING! We went out right about sunset, got in the water and saw Mantas right away! Very professional and knowledgeable crew, Brian Ruby, Tavish, Momi and Aaron were our guides and we couldn’t have asked for a better team to guide us to see these beautiful, gentle giant creatures! I’ve done many excursions and this was HANDS DOWN the best! If you’re going to the Kona side of the Big Island you HAVE to book this tour! We went on a nighttime manta ray snorkel on March 16. When we arrived the guide told us multiple times that 911 would be a good emergency contact while we were filling out paperwork. That should’ve been my first clue. We were then told to go out and put on the wet suit jackets with no help on sizing or figuring out how they should fit. While we were trying on our wet suit jackets we smelled marijuana no big deal except later we realized our guides were high as a kite. The boat ride seemed extremely unsafe Rocky and too wavy they should have canceled in my opinion. People are getting sick off of the side of the boat. We only saw one in Manta Rey and were told that we could come back another time to try again. I would never step foot on a boat with this company again! I did try and contact them via emailAnd never heard anything back from them. Do not go with this company! On a sidenote we were supposed to have hot chocolate and that never happened either!
