The Island tour. Guide Tom was knowledgeable and informative. Worth it. We were told we didn't need it we could see the Island on our own. But it would have difficult since we have never been. We learned a lot from the tour. The Island is picturesque and pretty.

Thank you for writing this 5 star review. Martha's Vineyard is made up of around 100 square miles. It would be impossible for you to see or learn as much about the island without the tour. If you don't care about learning the history and seeing the popular sites then perhaps the tour is not for you. Either way, you are sure to have a fabulous time on Boston's ORIGINAL Martha's Vineyard day trip! Thank you for sharing your experience. Sincerely, Stephen M. New England Tours picked up a group of us from the Omni Parker House yesterday.  We were visiting from Texas, Utah, and D.C.   For one individual in our group, this was a repeat tour to Martha’s Vineyard (MV) and, therefore, she had the forethought to bring a large comfortable bed pillow to rest with during our return drive from MV later that evening.      Tim “Timmy Tours,” our guide from Boston to Falmouth, was excellent at welcoming us aboard the shuttle with snacks and cold water.  As a frequent traveler to Boston Logan, I was amazed at Tim’s vast knowledge of the city’s history and landmarks.  I learned some new information about “The Lawn on D” and Quincy, MA.  I enjoyed Tim’s running, humorous commentaries, worthy of the best stand-up comedians.  Here’s my contribution to Tim’s modification of the “Dancing Queen” lyrics:  “Oooh, you can SING, you can jive, having the TOUR of your life . .  .”      Tom, our guide in MV, is a national treasure trove of local information about the island and its visitors and seasonal citizens, both famous and longstanding, Native American residents.  As a former Texan, (the mainland State that welcomed Juneteenth as our country’s  newest federal holiday), I was heartened by Tom’s personalized knowledge of African-Americans’ contributions to MV’s formation and continuing legacy—from Rebecca and William to Michelle and Barack.      If I could rate New England Tours (NET) beyond the five-star scale, I would give it 19 stars!  Steve, I would have called you myself, but since you probably get a lot of Tim’s “Call Steve” phone calls, I’ll just leave my glowing review on TripAdvisor.com.  Personally, I am loathe to gift any company a perfect review, so I will mention the only negative criticism of the NET:  those food discount cards at Oak Bluffs are NOT discounts at all.  On a positive note, Tim and Tom are tour experts such that they were both able to navigate our group out of heavy traffic and onto alternate routes.  I see now why our repeat tourists had so many great things to say about Tom and Tim! WOW!! Your review certainly deserves 5 stars!! BRAVO!! Though in not giving your review a perfect review, our company is NEW ENGLAND TRIPS not New England tours. But that's ok. In all seriousness, thank you for taking the time to go into such detail regarding your experience. All I can really say is that we try our best to ensure our guests enjoy themselves. Our guides are what makes this company what is, which is by far the best option in Boston for day trips outside of the city. Thank you again for sharing your day trip experience with whomever reads this review. Hopefully some day you'll get to try out one of our other New England Trips! Kind Regards, Stephen M.
