Took a day trip; on a self-guided "Jaws" movie location tour (no guided tour). Apparently I wasn't the only one. The security guy at the Edgartown Town Hall was an extra back in the day and told me people still come in looking for the desk from the movie. Even besides my excitement for movie locations, it was a treat to see them make their small town work for tourists without losing their small town. Old churches and structures are just a great reminder of quality and class. We ferried our rental car there because we wanted more flexibility. It's about $100 each way and you have to schedule it if you don't want to risk stand-by. That would have been nice to know. It all worked out.

The pick up was excellent and Greg the shuttle driver was a great source of information for the trip to Falmouth. The stops were nice half way both there and on our return for food or restrooms. We did sign up for a tour and was surprised it was a school bus vs the nice motor coach we arrived to the docks in. It is a good way to see the entire island. Our driver was not the quality I expected after having Greg for the earlier trip. He spoke to fast and referred to us as "guyses" the entire trip. You have two stops one in Egerton and one at the cliffs. It would have been great if the driver had given us pointers on what not to miss at Egerton. Most of the bus wandered around not sure where to go. It is a good way to see the island but you need to understand what the tour will offer, you are on the bus for about 2 hours driving around the island. It is a good way to see everything. The ferry ride there and back was great, clear day and enjoyable. NETS was there to pick us all up at the right time. The tour group is very organized and the packet they hand you has all your tickets you need for the day. Would recommend as a quick way to see the island.

Prompt hotel pick up service, they picked us up from our hotel even though it wasn’t listed because it was close to the other hotels they were going to. We had a great tour guide in the vineyard.
