We provide a 2.5 hour guided tour to and from Matanuska Glacier. Total travel approximately 250 Miles.

Fantastic tour! A small glitch with communication the night before, but it was worked out early in the morning and it was smooth sailing after that. Don picked us up at the hotel, we stopped for sandwiches on the way up & arrived at the Glacier in good time. Meghan took our group out on a beautiful sunny day for a 2 1/2 hour hike all along the glacier. It was awesome!! Meghan was great, very informative and kept an eye on the whole group, making sure we were comfortable with the journey. After the hike, we hooked back up with Don & had our lunch at the bottom of the glacier on the picnic tables. Then Don drove us back to our hotel in Anchorage. I highly recommend this tour!!

We booked this two days before and we were accommodated no problem. It is about a 2.5 hour beautiful drive from downtown anchorage. The check in process where you pay is very friendly and accommodating. Form there you dive to where you meet your glacier guide. That is where they explained the process and gave you your helmet. Our guide was fantastic. We had 5 people on our group from 22 to 55 years old. Each walk is different depending on the ice and number/type of people in your group. The guide was very helpful and knowledgeable about what we did and saw. It was about a 2.5 hour walk that was simply amazing. We made it pretty high and the views were great. At no time did I feel unsafe and learning to walk in crampons was easy. I would recommend this to anyone visiting anchorage. They give a substantial discount for military or local residents. I can't say enough good things about the whole experience.
